Illustrator & visual storyteller
LEHBIE RAE
Welcome to my universe — where women of color take center stage, cities have personalities, outfits are never accidental, and being overdressed is rarely considered a problem. I create characters, places and little moments that usually come with a story — whether I planned one or not. Some are inspired by real life, some are completely made up, and some are probably better left unexplained. Look around, get nosy, make up your own version. That’s half the fun.ENTER THE UNIVERSE ↓

AN ILLUSTRATED NOVEL
This time
What if some stories were never meant to fit into a single lifetime?Erika and Neo are bound by something neither of them fully understands. Across time, places and lives, fragments of the past resurface in unexpected ways — through people they meet, choices they make, and memories that sometimes feel as though they belong to someone else.As their stories unfold, love, friendship, family and loyalty become tangled with old regrets and unfinished truths. And little by little, what once seemed like coincidence begins to reveal a much larger story. This Time is an illustrated novel about two women, the lives that shape them, and the invisible threads that can connect people across generations, distance and time — asking one question: if life gave you another chance, would you make the same choices this time?

Meet the artist
Hi, I’m lehbie.
French illustrator, visual storyteller, writer and tattoo artist — apparently, choosing one creative job was never really an option.
My work is rooted in storytelling, with women of color at the center of worlds shaped by fashion, culture, travel, nostalgia and everyday life. I like creating images that feel like you’ve walked into the middle of a story — you don’t know exactly what happened before, but you definitely want to know what happens next.Based in Paris. Usually drawing somewhere else in my head.

You’ve reached the end. The stories haven’t.
Follow along, say hello, or come back later — I’m probably making something new.
